"Falling" is the first single from Julee Cruise's 1989 debut album, Floating into the Night. The instrumental version of the song became more widely known as the theme for the cult television series, Twin Peaks, and won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental.
The song itself reached number 11 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts, number 7 in the UK, and number one in Australia. A remixed version was also released.
In 2010, the online music site Pitchfork Media ranked "Falling" as the 146th greatest song of the 1990s.[1]
